CEO Malcolm Richards

Malcolm Richards brings a significant industry background to his role as CEO. Malcolm spent six years with the Electrical Safety Office which included developing new electrical safety legislation.  Malcolm also has extensive experience in the electrical industry through 17 years working for Ergon Energy and previously NORQEB, is a qualified electrical fitter/mechanic/linesperson, and has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA). 



Executive Manager - SafetyConnect, Wayne Crookes

Wayne brings a wealth of experience to the team with over 30 years of extensive industry and business knowledge. Being a former contractor, Wayne understands the requirements that an electrical business has for implementing and maintaining an effective safety program.  He provides a strong level of leadership, direction, assistance and support to his valuable and experienced SafetyConnect team, which will in turn ensure prompt and efficient service to all members.



Manager Workplace Policy, Paul Daly

Paul Daly has an extensive career working for trade associations. Paul provides advocacy services on behalf of electrical contractors at a federal and state level. Paul's duties also include driving apprenticeship projects and managing more than $1million in grants for mature age, flexible delivery, assessor network and ApprenticeConnect programs.



Executive Manager - Education &Training, Veronica Mauri

Veronica has extensive experience in the development and delivery of technical and business training and her previous employment includes a teaching position with Gold Coast TAFE within the electrotechnology faculty.  Veronica held a management position with Queensland's Electrical Safety Office for seven years.  Veronica is a qualified electrical fitter and mechanic and has previously run a successful electrical contracting business.  Her qualifications include a Diploma of Education and Bachelor of Business Management. 



Executive Manager - Marketing, David Melloy

David has more than 14 years' experience in marketing and communications, the last eight of which were in membership-based organisations in Brisbane and the UK. He holds a BA in Photography and Graduate Diploma in Communications, and has been with Master Electricians since inception. David is responsible for driving all marketing and communication initiatives across the organisation, including all business unit promotional activity and new membership growth.



Executive Manager - Corporate Services, Benjamin Wash 

As Corporate Services Manager, Benjamin oversees all the financial, accounting and administration functions for Master Electricians Australia. Benjamin has extensive experience in financial management having worked across all sectors and in all tiers of government.
