Industrial Project of the Year

Winner: David Sharpe, Sharpe Electrical

What the judges said: What the judges said: The Sharp group supplied and installed new LED street style lighting to the North Rail yard container loading area at Regency Park. The project required a complete redesign of the lighting layout to improve light levels to provide a safer working environment. The installation operates 24 hours a day and presented numerous safety challenges that required close coordination with onsite safety officers. To work around the various safety and access issues, David’s team worked to a 12-month plan to complete the project. The power and maintenance savings delivered has more than exceeded the client’s expectations. The project has now become the blue print for a larger upgrade using the same technology lighting at a Container facility in Melbourne.
