It has been a year since the new 2018 version of the wiring rules has been published and it became mandatory to use the new standard from 1 January 2019. The wiring rules committee has received many queries from stakeholders since the publication date and found a number of errors and wording that needed to be addressed. The committee reviewed these anomalies and has produced a proposed amendment to address each of these issues. The proposed A1 amendment is now available for all electrical contractors and their workers to view and comment on the proposed changes.
