Prices are correct as at 8 May 2017, subject to availability and to change without notice. All requests received after this date will be based on current pricing. Prices are valid for new Trans-Tasman Master Electricians Conference bookings only. You must be a current member of Master Electricians Australia to attend this conference or have prior approval from Master Electricians Australia.

Sales period

Valid for sale until 31 July 2017, unless otherwise stated, withdrawn, or sold out prior.

General Conditions

All prices are per person, in New Zealand Dollars. All prices are based on payment by cash or EFTPOS only. Additional levies, government charges, and other applicable fees may apply. Selected travel dates apply. Hotel check in/out time are ultimately the responsibility of the passengers upon booking to ensure flight schedules and hotel check in/out time are suitable for their needs. Accommodation is based on twin share unless otherwise stated. Packages are based on consecutive night stays. The accommodation, group tours, and any other components included in this conference are provided by carriers and hoteliers with their own terms and conditions, which your booking is subject to. Cancellations must be notified in writing to Tracey Taylor. The information is correct at time of publishing. The program, price, and travel dates are subject to change without notice. 

If a cancellation notice is received prior to Friday 28 April 2017, a refund will be processed less an administration fee of $150 per pass plus supplier and airline cancellation fees. 

If a cancellation notice is received prior to Friday 28 July 2017, a refund will be processed less 50% of the total delegate fee plus supplier and airline cancellation fees. 

If a cancellation notice is received after Friday 28 July 2017, no refund will be given for delegate registration plus you will be required to pay any airline cancellation and supplier cancellation fees. 

In the event of illness, refunds will be determined at the time of cancellation and after consideration of relevant supporting documentation/evidence. We strongly advise that individuals purchase Travel Insurance.

Alterations to the program, cancellation or postponement of the conference/event 

MEA reserves the right to make alterations to the arrangements of conference/event as published, either before or during the conference/event. 

Liability will be limited to the registration fee paid by the delegate. Delegates are encouraged to ensure they have adequate travel insurance in the event of a cancellation. In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, for the conference/event to be postponed or the dates changed, MEA shall not be liable for expenditure, damage, or loss incurred by the delegate.  


Payments for Early Bird delegates must be received by Friday 30 June, 2017. If early bird fees have not been received by MEA by 5.00pm on that day, individuals may be required to pay additional fees. 

Full payment of registration fees for all other pass types must be received at the time of booking and no later than 5.00pm on Friday 25 August, 2017, unless otherwise indicated on your invoice. All flights and accommodation must be paid in order to secure your booking.

MEA reserves the right to refuse attendance to individuals who have not paid in full for their registration. 

Registration fees cover all items outlined above for each pass type. Registration fees do not cover, accommodation, flights, or other travel costs to the conference/event venue, meals and beverages (other than those specified in the official conference itinerary), laundry and other items of a personal nature including room service, internet and phone etc., optional tours, mini bar, restaurant charges, tips, travel, and other insurances. 


Substitutions of a delegate for another person is permitted only with the prior written agreement of MEA.   

Substitutions made during the conference require written permission from the original delegate and prior payment of any additional charges. Specific dietary requirements of the substituted/new delegate may not be possible to organise at this late stage. 

Delegates are not allowed to share a registration – one registration per delegate. 


Views expressed by the speakers are their own. MEA cannot accept liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the conference/event or any material provided to delegates. 


In the event that a delegate is unable to attend the conference/event for any reason, MEA is not responsible for any costs incurred by the delegate. It is the responsibility of the delegate to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the conference/event. 

MEA does not accept responsibility for any costs, charges or fines incurred by delegates in the process of attending the conference. 

Photography and filming 

For promotional purposes, there may be a professional photographer and video production taking place during the conference/event. Delegates who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise MEA by email at events@masterelectricians.com.au otherwise delegates are deemed to agree to be so filmed or recorded and to have licensed MEA to use such film or recording for its purposes without consulting with the delegate or otherwise obtaining the delegate’s permission to do so. This includes publishing such material and providing it to third parties for purposes associated with MEA. The above also includes the children that are attending the conference. 

Delegate details 

Delegates consent to their contact details (name, organisation, business email, business postal address, etc) being recorded and retained by MEA. Delegates also consent to their credit card details, where applicable, being recorded and retained by MEA. Delegate’s details will not be distributed to stakeholders or sponsors. 

Registered delegates’ name and organisation details will be placed on an attendee list for all delegates to see who is at the conference for the purpose of networking and meetings.  

Limitation of Liability and Indemnity 

Provisions of Competition, Consumer and other laws enforced from time to time in Australia may imply warranties or conditions or impose obligations and guarantees on MEA (“implied terms”). If any such provisions apply, to the extent permitted by law, MEA’s liability and the delegate’s sole remedy will be limited to the refund of the fees paid to MEA. Subject to such provision, all representations, conditions, and warranties of any nature are expressly excluded. 

Subject to any implied terms and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MEA, its employees, agents, and contractors will not be liable for personal injury or death, property damage, or any other loss (including without limitation, liability for negligence, breach of these terms or any other agreement), damage, cost or expense (including, without limitation, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of information, indirect, special, punitive or consequential loss or damage) arising out of or in connection with the event. This includes and is not limited to any losses associated with cancellation costs relating to travel, flights, accommodation, should the event be cancelled (including, without limitation, instances arising of actual or threatened war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, civil commotion assuming the proportions of or amounting to a popular uprising, riot, martial law or the act of any lawfully constituted authority in the furtherance of maintaining public order. 

The delegate agrees to fully indemnify and hold MEA, its employees, agents, contractors and subcontractors (representatives) harmless from any claim, cost, demand, liability or damage (including legal costs, professional costs and other expenses on a full indemnity basis) incurred by MEA and/or its representatives arising out of or in connection with any act or omission of the delegate or their guest or invitee, in relation to the events, including but not limited to: 

  1. A breach of these terms 
  2. The delegate’s use of the venue
  3. Any damage to the venue or any goods located at the venue, or 
  4. The infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any third party (including the venue). 

Disclaimer for Leisure/Recreational Activities 

Delegates should consider carefully whether they will be able to participate in the social/recreational activities offered as part of the visitor program or highlighted as suggestions for partners or participants. 

Delegates are deemed to accept that it is entirely their responsibility to decide whether participation in any activity is appropriate and it is also their responsibility to observe all safety requirements and instructions that they may be given in relation to any associated activities. 

To the extent permitted by law, neither MEA nor its officer or employees will accept any liability whatsoever for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, whether due to any negligence act or omission or any other cause, arising from participation in any part of the visitor program, including but not limited to activities outside the event. In the event of death or personal injury, the liability of MEA and its officers and employees is limited accordingly. 

If required numbers for the optional activities are not reached, MEA holds the right to cancel the activity and will provide the delegate with sufficient notice.
