Course Overview
This practical instrumentation course provides participants with a basic background in instrumentation and maintaining a stable and controlled process.
This professional development course is a natural progression for those participants who are committed to learning and are keen to gain experience in field instruments and systems installed in the Australian mining, process, and oil and gas industries.
This course includes theory, samples of equipment, demonstrations, videos and hands-on calibration, setting up of field instruments, writing PLC programs and short answer assessment exercises.
Course Duration
The course is spread over two to three months, with a seven day intensive workshop, a three to five week break to complete course assessment, followed by another seven day intensive workshop.

Course Delivery
The course is delivered through classroom workshops, hands-on practical exercises on a purpose built instrumentation skids and assessment exercises.
Eligibility Requirements
Participants must hold a Certificate III, electrical trade qualification and/or a current electrical mechanics licence. Participants must provide evidence of their trade qualification and their licence to be able to register in this course.
