Electrical Estimating & Tendering

Course Overview

This two day course is designed to provide small to medium sized business owners, estimators &/or supervisors with the skills and knowledge required for accurate estimating, faster estimating turn around, real cost knowledge and increasing profitability. It will assist students in improving negotiating skills, improving confidence in tenders and quotes and understanding niche market levels. It encompasses reading and understanding job specifications, material take offs, determining labour and site requirements, costing and documenting.

Understanding unit rates and task factors Recognising and quoting variations

Students will be required to bring along a laptop with Microsoft Word & Excel programs – a basic knowledge of excel is required by participating students.

About the Trainer

Gary Klenner

Gary has had over 45 years industry experience working for large electrical contractors and owning & operating his own business in QLD. Gary has been engaged in senior management positions for major electrical contractors and wholesales in a variety of roles. He brings an expansive amount of contracting experience to the training room.
