Ergon Energy Network would like to inform you of an important change to the Electrical Contractor Reimbursement process, effective 1 October, 2025.
As of this date, Ergon Energy Network has changed the process for the reimbursement of Electrical Contractors attending a customer’s premises solely to bridge a relay or for Network Loss of Supply related issues. Electrical Contractors will now require prior approval by Ergon Energy Network before attending the premise.
Where Ergon Energy Network approves an Electrical Contractor to attend a customer’s premise and bridge a relay, Ergon Energy Network will provide the customer with a reference number, which they will provide to their attending Electrical Contractor.
If a customer requests your attendance to bridge a relay, please confirm with the customer that they have received a specific reference number and approval from Ergon Energy Network.
This unique reference number MUST be included on your reimbursement submission.
Where Ergon has issued the required reference number and approval, reimbursement will be capped at $250 for the service.
Please note that reimbursement claims submitted without a valid Ergon-pre provided reference number will not be paid.
All valid Electrical Contractor Reimbursements relative to work completed prior to 1 October will be processed in line with current process.
Your patience, cooperation and understanding are most appreciated as Energy Queensland implements these changes to their processes in streamlining and ensuring consistency in their service delivery.
If you have any questions or require further clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact Ergon Energy Network.
