ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY

On September 26, the Gold Coast’s JW Marriott was transformed into a stage of celebration as our community came together for the MEA 2025 National Electrical Industry Excellence Awards.
The evening was glamorous, inspiring, and filled with pride as we recognised the remarkable achievements of electricians, apprentices, and businesses across Australia. It also set the perfect tone for the MEA Conference that followed.
The ballroom buzzed from the moment guests arrived, with colleagues greeting each other, new connections being made and a sense of excitement building. Our MC, Richard Champion, kept the evening lively with his engaging presence and witty humour, filling the room with laughter while guiding the program seamlessly.
As each award was announced, applause echoed through the ballroom. Winners were celebrated but so too were the finalists and nominees whose projects and stories reflect the depth of talent in our industry. From apprentices to contractors delivering major projects, the night showcased excellence at every level.
This year’s national winners were:

In particular, our finalist apprentices and tradies underwent both theory and practical skills challenges as part of the selection process – congratulations to all who participated, a high standard has been set. With the generous support of our apprentice sponsors MEA’s state apprentice winners were flown to the Gold Coast to attend the national awards and celebrate with their peers.
The night would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Your partnership helps us recognise and celebrate the excellence driving our industry forward.
