Queensland Grants to Support Women Returning to Work 

 The Queensland Government is offering grants of up to $5,000 to support women returning to the workforce after a career break. 

 Eligible expenses include: 

  * Workwear and tools 

  * Childcare 

  * Training and recertification 

  * Transport to and from interviews 

  * Technology 

  * Relocation costs for new employment 

 Queensland women can register their interest at www.womenscareergrants.com.au, with formal applications opening on November 3.   

 As strong advocates for workforce diversity and increasing female participation in the electrical industry, MEA commends the Queensland Government for this initiative to help women overcome barriers to re-entering the workforce.
