Electrical Contractor Award Allowance Increases 

The Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission (WAIRC) has approved changes to the state Electrical Contracting Industry Award. 

These changes apply only to sole traders and partnerships operating in Western Australia who are not covered by the Fair Work Act (i.e. non-constitutional corporations). 

These changes include an increase to various allowances, effective from the first full pay period on or after 15 October 2025. 

Members are encouraged to review their payroll and employment arrangements to ensure compliance with the updated Award rates.
