The NSW and Federal Government have teamed up to offer students a mobile training fleet to give students practical access to solar, wind and electric vehicle technologies; bringing training, demonstrations and real-world experience.
The fleet includes:
-
- A mobile community engagement truck featuring virtual reality experiences and interactive displays that showcase renewable energy concepts and career pathways.
- A mobile training truck providing hands-on experience with wind turbine, solar, and electric vehicle components aligned to existing qualifications.
- Two dual-purpose shipping containers that double as mobile classrooms, fitted with renewable energy systems, battery storage, and interactive learning tools.
Master Electricians Australia has consistently championed the introduction of virtual reality training for apprentices nationwide to ease training bottlenecks and reduce the pressure of skills shortages. We welcome this initiative and will continue advocating for the broader rollout of VR-enabled training across Australia, especially rural and remote areas.
