The Western Australian Government has announced that electrical licensing documents will soon be issued electronically, with printed documents available on request.  

Under the new approach, applicants for electrician, trainee, contractor, electrical worker and in-house installing licences will receive their approval notice and digital licence document via email. For contractors and in-house installing licence holders, a digital copy of the certificate of registration will also be included in the same email. 

Physical ID cards for electricians and restricted electrical licence holders will continue to be mailed out to ensure they can be shown on site when needed.
