Victorian members and electricians, please see the below industry alert “Double Insulation – Underground Consumer Mains” from Victorian Service and Installation Rules (VSIR) following advice from Energy Safe Victoria.

As the advice and its application must comply with the ES(G)R, they take effect immediately. This represents a change from what has previously been allowed for the majority of distributors.

Please ensure all relevant stakeholders and team members are notified and appropriate actions taken to achieve compliance.
