
CEO Kate Raymond met with Federal Minister for Skills and Training, Hon Andrew Giles MP to discuss employer incentives in light of the recent budget announcements and changes to the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System.
MEA argues the $10,000 allocated to apprentices in clean energy & housing-related trades be redirected to employers and include all employers of electrical apprentices. We need to ensure maximum numbers of apprentices are being trained to meet the looming skills shortage.
