Invitation to Participate – Construction Industry Productivity Consultation Sessions
ACIF, in partnership with the Australasian Procurement and Construction Council (APCC), is inviting member organisations and their members to participate in a series of sector-based consultation sessions examining productivity barriers within government construction procurement.
This important industry-led initiative is seeking practical, evidence-based insights into how procurement and contracting practices impact productivity, workforce sustainability, risk allocation, contract certainty, capability, and the long-term health of the construction sector.
A Simpler Way to Have Your Say
We recognise that many industry participants are time poor. To make participation easier, ACIF and APCC are offering facilitated online consultation sessions using a tailored, shortened version of the survey, designed around the issues most relevant to your sector.
Rather than completing the full survey independently (note that the closing date has been extended until 31 August), participants can contribute their experiences and perspectives through completing a shorter, targeted version during a guided discussion with their industry peers, ensuring valuable insights are captured in an efficient and meaningful way.
Every Sector Needs a Voice
The success of this project depends on hearing from the full breadth of the construction industry. Large and small businesses, contractors, consultants, specialist trades, suppliers, manufacturers, professional services firms, and industry associations all experience government procurement differently. Each perspective is essential to developing recommendations that genuinely reflect the realities of the sector.
Whether you choose to complete the full survey or a shorter survey by participating in a sector consultation session, your contribution will help ensure that future procurement reforms are informed by the experiences of those who deliver projects, manage risk, employ workers, and invest in the industry’s future.
