WorkSafe Victoria has moved asbestos removal licensing to a fully digital system, now available through myWorkSafe. All licence-related applications must now be completed online—this includes new applications, renewals, amendments, and updates to nominated site supervisors.
Paper or PDF forms are no longer accepted. A myWorkSafe account is required to access and manage your asbestos removal licence.
Key updates:
- All asbestos removal licence processes must be submitted online
- Paper-based forms are no longer in use
- The digital system provides faster approvals and more efficient licence management
What stays the same:
- Existing licences remain valid, with no change to your licence number.
- A PDF copy of your licence will still be emailed to you.
- Any applications currently being processed will continue as usual—there’s no need to resubmit via the online system.
MEA members operating in Victoria should ensure they are set up with a myWorkSafe account to manage their licences moving forward.
