WA Invests $113.6 Million in Skills and Training 

 The Western Australian Government has announced a $113.6 million investment to strengthen the state's skills and training sector. 

This package includes:

  • $46.5 million "to increase the number of apprentices completing their training and taking up skilled jobs – especially among priority groups".
  • $15.2 million "to develop a VET workforce strategy including targeted recruitment, professional development, mentoring, and support frameworks to attract and retain skilled teachers and trainers, especially in priority sectors and regions".

Master Electricians Australia welcomes this commitment and commends the Government's continued focus on improving financial and structural support for the training system across WA.
