MEA's CEO, Ms Kate Raymond, was in Canberra this week representing electrical contractors at a series of Australian Construction Industry Forum (ACIF) meetings and industry events. These discussions brought together ministers and shadow-ministers, providing a strong platform to highlight member priorities and ensure the challenges facing small electrical businesses remain firmly on the national agenda. 

The visit coincided with ACIF's 25-year anniversary celebration. MEA has been a long-standing member of ACIF; a forum where small business representatives across the construction sector work collaboratively to advocate for shared industry challenges. We congratulate ACIF on this significant milestone and its continued commitment to united industry advocacy. 

To round out the day, Ms Raymond also attended the Energy Networks Australia Parliamentary Reception.   

A strong day of engagement that kept the priorities of small electrical businesses firmly on the table.
