The Victorian Government has released its new Energy Safety Roadmap, setting out planned reforms to strengthen consumer protections, modernise regulation and prepare the energy workforce for emerging technologies such as solar, batteries and electric vehicle charging. 

The Roadmap focuses on clearer product standards and labelling, improved recall processes for unsafe products, workforce competency and licensing reviews, and a modernised regulatory framework to support proactive oversight by Energy Safe Victoria as the energy system continues to evolve.
