You can refer as many mates as you want, so essentially if you refer enough mates and they all become MEA members, your annual membership fee may be paid for.

* Terms and Conditions: The Master Electrician Australia (MEA) ‘Refer a Mate’ promotion provides $100 (ex GST) off base membership fees for an existing MEA member (‘referrer’) who refers a new member who joins MEA (full members only, excluding associate members). The new member must not have been a member of MEA in the past 2 years from referral and only one application of this promotion can be made per new member. The promotion applies where the new member identifies the referrer on joining MEA. The $100 deduction will apply for the new member only in the first year of membership. The $100 will be deducted from the new member’s membership fees either upfront (if paying an annual membership fee) or in equal monthly amounts over a year if paying monthly, noting the requirement to join for a minimum 12-month period for all new members. The $100 will be deducted from the referrer’s membership fees either in the next 12-month annual renewal invoice (if paying annually) or in equal monthly amounts over a year if paying monthly, commencing in the next monthly invoice (but not before March 2025). The deduction will apply once per new member referred. Referrers may refer more one new member in a year but the total deductions to the referrer’s membership fees in the applicable year will be limited to the value of the referrer’s base annual membership fee. The $100 deduction is on the basis members will remain MEA members for a minimum 12 months following take-up of the promotional offer. If membership is cancelled prior, the member is not entitled to any further discount beyond what was provided to the date of cancellation. This promotion may be cancelled at any time by MEA.
