Support for Cancelled Apprentices in Queensland

The Australian and Queensland Government have joined together to offer the Flexible Trade Training which provides a vital safety net for apprentices whose training has been disrupted. 

If an apprentice has lost or left their job or had their apprenticeship contract cancelled within the last 12 months, they may still be able to continue their training at TAFE Queensland under this program.  

Importantly, apprentices will also receive assistance to connect with a new employer, ensuring their career pathway remains on track. 

This initiative helps protect the investment apprentices have already made in their training, while also supporting Queensland's skills pipeline by keeping future tradespeople engaged in the industry.
